As a part of its worldwide growth method and vision, Gilbane Building Company is thrilled to announce that Dan Gilbane has been appointed senior vp and director of strategic initiatives. This new function combines single-factor executive duty for several developing entities with GRS, a disaster reconstruction offerings company comprised of three companies: G.O. Construction Services, LLC, an entirely-owned subsidiary that offers job site safety, well-known labor, carpentry, and final cleansing services; Gilbane’s National Clients crew; and the firm’s Centers of Excellence targeted on adding value for clients in the course of the project lifecycle in multiple markets. In addition to these purchaser-driven awareness regions, Dan may have direct involvement with Gilbane’s acquisition approach.
As a 5th-era Gilbane family member, Dan joined the enterprise in 2005. He served in numerous management roles before becoming the senior vice chairman of the Southwest department, where he became responsible for sales, marketing, operations, and methods. He focused on supplying quality offerings and artistry that promote robust patron relationships, consumer delight, repeat clients, and new commercial enterprise growth.

An active member of the Houston network, Dan serves on the YES Prep Public Schools forums, the Greater Houston Partnership, Houston Methodist’s President’s Leadership Council, and the Associated General Contractors. He is energetic in the real property network and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He serves as the 2019 Campaign Chair for the United Way of Greater Houston and is the executive sponsor for Gilbane’s Hispanic worker aid institution.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives with his wife, Eleanor, and three children in Houston, Texas.
