The Swan boat ride at Disney World is not scary and easy to experience. If you plan to take the boat ride, you should know what it is, how long it lasts, where it is located, and how much it costs.
Swan Resort in Walt Disney World has been the top choice of tourists for the last 50 years. So, what is it about this resort that makes it so special? Why is it the place people book their vacation for their next dream vacation?
I will tell you about my experience booking a Disney World Swan reservation for my family and share some tips you can use when booking your next vacation.
I wanted to see what the Swan reservation at Disney World was like. It took me over three hours to drive there. We arrived at our hotel around 10 p.m. and didn’t get to the park until 11 a.m. the next morning. Our first impression of the park was that it was very nice, clean, and well-maintained. The rides were fun, and the characters were friendly.
At first, I wasn’t sure why. But my main concern with the park was that there weren’t any swans in the lake. The whole garden was beautiful, but no one was swimming in it, and the swans were nowhere to be seen.
Do You Need a Swan Boat Ride?
I’ve booked a Swan boat ride for my family. Yes, it’s a lot of fun, but it’s unnecessary.
You can easily find other things to do and see. You can do many rides and experiences at the Magic Kingdom that don’t require getting wet.
Even the Disney Dining Plan can allow you to enjoy the Magic Kingdom without spending too much time on the boat. For example, we did the Magic Kingdom One Day Tour. We didn’t take any of the boat rides. Instead, we rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Splash Mountain.
We also had a full Disney Dining Plan. But, instead of eating lunch at Be Our Guest, we ate at Beaches and Cream.
What is a Swan Boat Ride?
Most swan resorts are on artificial lakes, and guests can enjoy various amenities. These include swimming pools, restaurants, spa services, and live shows. A Swan resort is a large waterway that guests can stay on for a fee, similar to a cruise ship.
While the swan resorts offer luxury experiences, they are also a very affordable option for a family vacation. Prices are lower than a standard Disney hotel, and you can usually save money by booking your stay at the same time as your flight.
Where Is the Swan Boat Ride Located?
It’s always been my top priority when booking a trip to Walt Disney World. I’ve been secured with a Disney Swan boat ride for over three years. I’ve booked reservations at every resort hotel and have never been disappointed.
Only one thing has made me skeptical about booking a Swan boat ride. It’s the price.
Every year, I look at the pricing for a standard room at a Disney World resort and see that it is almost double that of a standard room at a non-Disney World resort. Booking a standard room usually starts at $500. At the end of the year, it’s time to make a new reservation.
This is where the trouble starts.
A standard room is usually only for two adults, and the price does not include anything else. If you’re looking for more than two adults, upgrade to a Deluxe or a Grand Deluxe.
The prices for those two upgrades can reach $750+ per person, nearly double that of a standard room.
In the past, I booked a standard room and then upgraded to a deluxe room, which allowed me to get a cheaper rate. But this year, I booked a standard room with no upgrades.
Do you know what that means? No discounts, no perks, and no better rates.
It just doesn’t make sense to spend more money.
If you do, it’s only because you’re willing to pay for the extras.
