A definitive benchmark in the realm of haute couture, the 2nd edition of the lifestyle show ‘Hidden Treasures’ promises to showcase everything from runway magic to unique Indian weaves, designs, Victorian jewelry, and much more to the people of Udaipur.
After the grand success of last year’s show, the second edition will delight shoppers. This two-day extravaganza will exhibit part and couture clothing, jewelry, bags, artifacts, paintings, home décor, home linen, children’s wear, and more.
Curators and conceptualisers Richa Singh and Saloni Bhandari believe that every piece of clothing, jewellery, or footwear you wear tells a story. The duo has worked closely with some of the rarest and unique labels nationwide and will present their rare and bespoke creations at the show.
A few years ago, both of them came up with the idea of ‘Hidden Treasures’ after they realized there is a huge space in the market for everything handmade and representing Indian art. Their common vision helped them discover and reach out to regional artists like Padma Shri Awardee M. Tayeb Khan from Jodhpur, who’s known for his regal tie-and-dye work on sarees and turbans.
With 15+ years of experience wrapped with the hope of artisans, these women decided to dig up a promising business for our country’s dying art and craft. Today, from textiles to weaves and dyes to every other hand technique, Saloni and Richa make extra efforts to display these ‘Hidden Treasures’ under one roof so that a larger audience can access them. The 2-day exhibition will amaze you with, perhaps, a 300-year-old history behind underground indie brands. Hidden Treasures will be held at the Hotel Lakeland, Udaipur, on 21 and 22 April.
While you shop, the dedicated team at Hidden Treasures pledges not to let you drop! They will take care of your hunger with organic food brands along with many other famous food chains from across India, not to mention the lip-smacking food court. Are you excited? Then save the date!
