NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index had its components trading higher in ThursdayThursdayon session of Indiabulls Ventures (up 10.39 percent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 5.51 percent), Edelweiss Financial Services (up 3.19 percent), and State Bank of India (up 2.59 percent) were the top performers in the index. Shriram Transport Finance Company (up 2.38 percent), ICICI Bank (up 1.89 percent), Housing Development Finance Corporation (up 1.32 percent), and HDFC Bank (up 1.04 percent) too were trading with gains.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 1.34 percent up at 12,467.60 around 02:14 pm.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 113.20 points to 11,558.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 378.30 points to 38,511.18.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, NTPC, BHEL, Ashok Leyland, Indian Oil Corp, ONGC, L&T Fin Holding, ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Tata Motors, SAIL, Coal India, Indiabulls Housing Finance, DLF, BEL, ITC and Sun Pharma were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
